Mix It Up

(Top: OOTO, Hat: H&M, Sunnies: Asos, Necklace: Primark, Boots: Asos, Jacket: Mums, Skirt: Missguided)

Is it a bit too much? All the crazy patterns together? Somehow my brain thinks it works, what does your fashion brain say? Go on. Be honest. I won't get offended. (Kidding, I totally will. BE NICE)
I kinda love mixing as many patterns together and hoping it turns out fabulous!
Play about, mix it up.

Fresh Princess

(Top: Missguided, Jeans: Gift from Lulu, Belt: Charity Shop, Choker: Mums, Boots: Public Desire via Sarah Ashcroft, Hat: Jumble Sale)

Jesus how 90's is this outfit? Feeling like I'm channeling my inner Fresh Prince.
Will Smith in fresh prince has always been my ultimate crush. I want a boyfriend who dresses like him. and acts like him. and dances like him.
I just want Fresh Prince really.
Aha! Thats what I wanted for christmas. Father Christmas dude, didn't you get the memo?
Talking of Chrismas, I hope you all had a smashing day?
Mine was spent in Bed whilst my family were having the time of their lives skiing the French mountains. I on the other hand managed to catch some sort of chest infection thing, so I spent all day tucked up in bed watching christmas film after christmas film and feeling rather sorry for myself. I did however manage to perk up when I saw the Christmas dinner our lovely chalet hosts had prepared us, then I continued to get rather drunk, win a game of charades and by 11pm I was out like a light.
Skiing has been so much fun, can't say I've particularly mastered it but I'm getting there.
I can now fully and confidently ski down a blue piste (the easy ones!) without falling on my bum, having a tantrum and shouting at my skis. Result.

That Super Cape

(Jumpsuit: Shakuatchi, Cape: Vintage, Hat: Mums, Boots: Zara)

I'm writing this post in a bit of a rush. I've got a flight to France tomorrow morning in exactly 4 and a half hours, yet I'm blogging.
I'm off skiing for christmas and I'm suuuuuuper excited. I've never skied before so I suppose this is going to be very interesting. Any tips pro skiers?! I think I'm going to need all the help I can get as my balance is awful. I also hate the cold and snow and ice but ready to face my fear and see what this skiing hype is about. I'm also really looking forward to a white christmas. How lucky am I?
For some reason all of a sudden I had a panic that I wouldn't be able to find wifi up in the mountains so here I am, nearly 11pm, scheduling this post. Wifi seems to be everywhere but for some reason, wifi up in the snowy mountains doesn't sound very accessible...
Hmmm, we shall see.

(Jumpsuit: Motel Rocks*, Fur Coat: H&M, Boots: Topshop, Concho Belt: Charity Shop, Hat: H&M, Sunnies: Asos, Choker: Mums)

I've been in L-O-V-E with this jumpsuit since I first saw at the motel showroom. Its so beautiful and silky and just mmmmmm! It's the most perfect christmas party outfit but here I tried to dress it down for a more day to day fancy shmansy look.  To style it for a christmas party would be pretty easy, just whack on a pair of heels, add a dark vampy lip, some nice glitzy accessories and your away!
I'm really genuinely struggling not to wear this hat every day and in every blog post. My head almost feels weird without a hat. Like somethings missing....
And its not like I wear a huge variety of hats either! Its either this one or my velvet bucket hat I featured recently. I think its time to invest in some new hats or brave the world sans a hat. No, i'm not ready to go hatless yet.
Hat life is the best life.

How cool do these photos look? I'd like to thank my fabulous photographer Lulu. We were strolling around Shoreditch with Sarah and Shy (the 3 's' hello) and found this graffiti wall which I thought matched perfectly with my gorgeous new sequin jumper.
I got it on portobello market along with the matching skirt (hello NYE outfit) for £60 and couldn't say no. Rainbow sequins are about 100% cooler and more sassy than plain sequins. I thought The Confetti's would love it.
It's oh so confetti.

The cowgirl look continues. But where would a cow girl be without her snazzy cow print jacket eh?! Well unfortunetely for this cowgirl this isn't actually my jacket and it belongs to Lucy. Oh cry...
She also has the matching skirt, I'm so jealous.  Caighli Taylor is one great designer. I'm obsessed with the stuff she made for sassy world  too. I wanted everything. Especially the dollar/heart trousers. So street chic.
Peace out dudes.
Hope y'all have a happy wednesday.

I’m really loving blogging at the moment, I go through stages but I think its here for good now. I’ve christened my friend Charlie as my official blog photographer so he’s hopefully going to meet me every week and we are gunna take some funky shots of funky outfits. Sound funky right? Operation super blogger starts now.
On another happy note, life is pretty grand right now, I seem to have everything going for me and although this weather makes me want to cry, I’m really enjoying London life and kinda don’t want to be anywhere else. (….other than possibly on a carribean beach with leonardo di caprio, but ya kno, thats not exactly likely to happen so ill stick with what I've got I guess)
Oh also… THIS COAT.
I’ve never received so many compliments on anything ever. Literally I get stopped at least 5 times a week from people asking me where its from. Its the ultimate perfect coat. Merci B Asos, you did it again.

That Portobello Life

Photos by Charlie Hyams

(Coat: Missguided*, Hat: H&M, Skirt: Urban Outfitters, Jumper: American Apparel, Shades: Minkpink, Boots: Zara)

Since moving to London I have learned a couple of things:
Number 1: You must walk as fast as you can, no matter what situation your in, even if your not in a rush- you must walk fast. Don't run because your look stupid but you must always, always, always, fast walk.  No excuses.
Number 2: Drinking wine on a monday night is totally acceptable. As is drinking wine every other day of the week. Or any alcoholic beverage in general. Basically i've been drunk at least a good 3 times a week.  Whoops.
Number 3: Portobello Road is life. My mum lived on Portobello Road when she was my age and up until I was 5 I lived just round the corner. It still hasn't lost its charm and every time I walk down there I instantly feel happy. If your ever in the area, trek to the very end of portobello and find 'Lisboa' Cafe, its a very traditional portugese bakery and they do the best custard tarts in the whole wide world. Go order a coffee and a 'nata' (custard tart) and get lost in the sounds of the portugese nattering away. You'll instantly feel like you have been teleported to Portugal. Its really wonderful. Thats why I adore London, the different nationalities really make it such a beautiful and diverse place. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else...

Zebra Fever

(Fur top: studded petals, Bomber Jacket & Boots: Zara, Choker: Mums, Skirt: Missguided, Coat: H&M via depop)

Oh look I'm not wearing a hat! I honestly struggle not wearing a hat everyday, i'm always like this outfit is good but imagine it with a hat! But I only really wear that wide brim H&M hat and its starting to look a bit battered so I thought I'd let my head breathe for a bit.
I'm absolutely loving zebra print at the moment (as you can obviously see) and thought it would be fun to mix it with another bright print. With monochrome items I think you can get away with mixing a bright and bold print, making the outfit exciting and interesting. Not to mention sassy right?
I feel like we are in the generation of sass. I'm blaming Helena, pretty sure she started the sass generation. Since meeting her and following her blog I find myself going for more daring items of clothing, so big thank you to Heli for making me take risks every morning when getting dressed and letting my style evolve in confidence. Go girl. I think you call that a style icon. She's most definitely mine.
